The factory service manual actually gives torque ratings 2.2 ~ 3.6 lb-ft. but for something this simple I do not bother with a torque wrench. Just snug it up. Here is a view of the air filter cover and hose out of the way.It is an air bypass screw that works along with the isc. Second thing is, the screw on the side of the tb. That also is not an idle speed adjustment screw. That screws purpose is to keep the throttle body blade from sticking to the bore of the tb when the skinny pedal is slammed shut. The idle speed is controlled by the pcm.The idle air bleed screw is usually open about 1 1/2 turns from closed. The IAC isn't used other than at idle. It's purpose is to maintain the idle when the throttle valve is closed. I would check the TPS voltage from the idle to WOT to ensure that there are no flat spots and that in the closed position the voltage signal is about 1v.This is a must have for all 22RE engines! When you remove the screw all the way, the resistance is around 1 ohm. As you rotate the tb, the resistance drops to about 0.6 and then goes back up to 5 as you rotate the throttle plate. Basically where all the cable adjusters are, but you can reach it without removing the gas tank if you have a long screwdriver. You should be able to do a throttle positioning sensor reset and then adjust the idle screw as needed to fix most problems.For background I replaced the throttle body with a used one from ebay as the original had a seized bypass screw. The way to adjust those TPS settings is to elongate the screw bolt holes which will allow the TPS to be rotated. Golen Engines website has instructions on how to do that and they recommend .67 volts. The idle speed is programmed into the the PROM/PCM and the system will try to maintain that idle speed.This is a must have for all 22RE engines!
